By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and faithfully devotes himself to communal needs,

I greet you and bless you.

I would like to express my wishes of good Mazal for the good resolution adopted by Young Israel — that of bringing its support to the salvation of children in the Holy Land. No doubt, there is in this, in large part, the result of your action, and Hashem will grant you a double recompense. Even more, it is known that the recompense of a Mitzvah* is the Mitzvah itself.

But the essential is still missing — which is concrete action and not only verbal intention.

You will find enclosed a copy of a letter I have written on this subject.[2] Being on the spot, you will, for your part, strive to activate the action as much as possible.

I conclude by wishing you all the best and great success in your accomplishments,

הנני בזה להביע לו רגשי מז"ט על החלטות של יונג איזראעל בנוגע להצלת הילדים באה"ק ת"ו ובלי ספק חלק גדול בזה הוא עבודת כבודו שי' ושכרו כפול מן השמים, ויותר מזה הרי שכר מצוה מצוה.

אבל עדיין חסר העיקר שהוא המעשה, ולא המדרש בדבור לבד.
