By the grace of Hashem,

21 Tammuz 5710,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav T.,[1]

I greet you and bless you.

I received your letter in its time, and my reply was delayed because of 12 Tammuz. On that day I went to the tomb and mentioned your name, so that all your needs may be fulfilled.

You wish to find a good teacher for your Talmud Torah.[2] One has been able to observe, throughout the period that has elapsed since the histalkus*, that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, grants success to all those who hold their post and carry out the mission entrusted to them. A simple effort is necessary on their part for the success to be considerable. No doubt it will be the same on this point, and you will give me good news.

You ask me whether you should move and buy a house. Since you think you will be here for a few more weeks, do nothing for now, and when we meet, we will discuss this subject.

May Hashem grant you success and fully accomplish all the blessings that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, granted you, as well as the members of your family.

I have just received your letter of 20 Tammuz. If it is impossible to remain in the apartment in the same building as the synagogue, and if the house being offered to you does not cost more than ten thousand,[3] you will buy it, in a good and fruitful moment.

You will let me know the date of acquisition, which should be prior to the month of Menachem Av.

מכתבו בעתו נתקבל ונתאחר המענה מפני עניני י"ב תמוז. - בהיותי על הציון ביום הנ"ל הזכרתיו לכל המצטרך -

ובמה שדואג עליו למצוא מורה המתאים להת"ת שלו הנה במוחש ראינו בהזמן שמההסתלקות ועד עתה אשר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ משפיע הצלחה לאותם העומדים על משמרתם במילוי השליחות אשר הטיל עליהם, ורק שצריך השתדלות מצדם ואז ההצלחה מופלגה ובלי ספק גם בענין הנ"ל יהי' כן ויודיעני בשו"ט עד"ז.

בנוגע אם לשנות מקום דירתו ואם לקנות בית דירה, הנה כיון שבדעתו להיות כאן בעוד איזה שבועות הרי לע"ע לדעתי לא יעשה את הנ"ל וכשיהי' פה נדבר עד"ז.

והשי"ת ישפיע הצלחה ויקיים את כל ברכות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אשר ברכו, אותו [ו]את כל ב"ב שי' על מילואן.

זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו מכ' תמוז, ואם הדבר כן הוא אשר א"א להשאר בדירה שבבנין ביהכנ"ס ומחיר הבית שמציעים לו יהי' לא יותר מעשרת אלפים יקנה אותו ויהי' בשטומו"צ ובטח יודיע יום הקנין שיהי' קודם לחדש מנ"א.
