11 Tammuz 5710,[1]
I received your letter of 6 Tammuz. Without making it a vow, I will announce tomorrow, near the tomb, the creation of the committee[2] in your city, and your intervention to obtain this result. Your names will be mentioned.
With my blessing for the festival of liberation, and wishing all the best to all the members of the committee and to your students,

It does not seem judicious to me to devote much time now to the study of English.[3] My father-in-law, the Rebbe, used to say: "How far must one drag the cart (in this case, Torah and Mitzvos*) toward the horses? It is high time that the horses head toward the cart!"
