By the grace of Hashem,

3 Tammuz 5710,

To the distinguished Chassid*, who fears Hashem, ...

I greet you and bless you.

I reply to your letter.

Your brother has surely transmitted to you, concerning your journey, that — this one having been begun with the agreement of my father-in-law, the Rebbe — you must, as he asked you, strengthen Yiddishkeit* and good education in all the places where you arrive.

If the present journey has the same objective, it finds itself, by that fact, included in the agreement already given by my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

Your name and that of the members of your family have been mentioned near the tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and the Holy One, blessed be He, fulfills the blessings of the tzaddikim, so that everything goes well and in its time. From time to time, you will surely give your good news.

You write to me that, unfortunately, no study has been fixed. Why be content with lamenting? Better to fix it effectively! Thus you will gain two things: the fixing of a class and the disappearance of this lament. In fact, a man does not have the right to do harm to himself. Perhaps you can at least study Torah, each one separately.

במענה על מכתבו:

בענין נסיעתו בטח כבר מסר לו גם אחיו שי' אשר כיון שכבר עשה כזה ע"פ דעת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וכמדומה אשר ציווהו אז אשר ישתדל במקומות שיהי' לפעול בעניני החזקת היהדות חנוך הכשר וכיו"ב,

הנה אם גם בפעם הזאת נוסע על מנת כן חל ע"ז ג"כ הסכם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ מאז.

והוא וב"ב שיחיו נזכרו על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ והקב"ה ממלא ברכות צדיקים, שיהי' הכל כשורה בעתו ובזמנו ובטח יודיע מזמן לזמן משלומם הטוב.

מש"כ שלדאבון לא קבעו שיעור ללמוד. הנה למה לדאב הלא טוב טוב יותר הי' לקבוע שיעור, שאז הי' משתכר בשתים: קביעות השיעור, והעדר הדאבון, שהרי גם לחבול בעצמו אין אדם רשאי, ואולי עכ"פ ילמדו כ"א בפ"ע.
