To the directors of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch network, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, may Hashem* grant you long life,

Shalom* u'vracha*,

There is a point that is particularly painful. Indeed, no one takes any interest at all in what becomes, subsequently, of the students completing their schooling in the schools of the network: do they have an occupation that allows them to earn their livelihood? And, what is their conduct?

Now, the purpose of education, in particular that of Chabad*, as our masters underscore, is not to enable the students to acquire knowledge, but indeed to bring them the means of being good Jews, of bringing their hearts closer to our Father Who is in heaven, of making of them scholars of the Torah*, practicing the mitzvos*.

ו ועוד נקודה גם היא מצערת ביותר, והוא שאין שמים לב כלל להנעשה עם מסיימי בתי ספר הרשת לאחרי הסיום, ז.א. האם ממשיכים לימודם ובאיזה בי"ס, ובאם מתעסקים בדבר של פרנסה וכיו"ב, איך תהי' הנהגתם, והרי סו"ס תכלית חינוך וביחוד של חב"ד, כמו שהורונו רבותינו נשיאינו לא להגיש להתלמידים כמות של ידיעות, כ"א שזה אינו אלא דרך ואמצעי לעשותם יהודים כדבעי, לקרב לבם לאבינו שבשמים, ולעשותם לומדי תורה ומקיימי מצות.
