I am responding to your letter of 22 Iyar*, in which you tell me once again that you have no children. Now, various treatments have been developed in recent years. It would therefore be good to consult once more a specialist physician in this matter and to ask him about these new treatments. Moreover, you allude to a lung operation. Of course, this prospect does not suit me at all.

You tell me about your dreams. The Mezuzos* of your apartment must be checked, in which there is surely something to rectify. Likewise, your wife will observe the positive custom of virtuous Jewish women, which consists of setting aside tzedakah* before lighting the candles, on the eve of Shabbos* and the festivals. She will do the same during the week, on Monday and Thursday mornings. Of course, all of this must be adopted "without making a vow."

At a propitious moment, I will mention all those you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that each may obtain the satisfaction of their needs, in conformity with what you write to me. We find ourselves in the days that separate Pesach*, "time of our freedom," from Shavuos*, "time of the giving of our Torah*," which was "engraved upon the Tablets," and our Sages* say: "Do not read charut (engraved) but cheirus (freedom)" — from all that obstructs and causes worry. You yourself will therefore convey good news of all this. With my blessing to receive the Torah* with joy, depth, and to convey good news,

במענה למכתבו מכ"ב אייר, בו כותב עוד הפעם שעדיין לא נתברכו בפרי הבטן.

וכיון שכמה טפולים חדשים חדשו בשנים האחרונות, מהנכון שיפנו עוד הפעם לרופא מומחה במקצוע זה, ולשאלו ביחוד להטפולים החדשים.

במ"ש אודות ניתוח על הריאות - אין נראה לי כלל וכלל כמובן.

במ"ש אודות החלומות - צריך לבדוק המזוזות בדירתו שבטח שי שם הדורש תקון, וכן אשר זוגתו תחי' תשמור על מנהג הטוב של בנות ישראל הכשרות להפריש לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות בכל ערב שבת וערב יום טוב, ותעשה כן גם בימות החול ביום שני וחמישי בבקר - מובן דכ"ז צריך להיות בלי נדר.

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע כאו"א להמצטרך לו מתאים לתוכן כתבו.

וכיון שנמצאים אנו בהימים שבין פסח זמן חירותנו ושבועות זמן מתן תורתנו חרות על הלוחות, א"ת חרות אלא חירות חירות מכל ענינים המצירים וגורמים דאגה, הנה גם הוא יזכה לבשר טובות בכל האמור.
