Shalom* u'vracha*,

I am responding to your letter of 27 Nissan*. At a propitious moment, all your names will be cited at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that each may obtain the satisfaction of their needs. You should have your Tefillin* and the mezuzos* of your apartment checked, to ensure that they are all in conformity with the Halachah*. You also write to me about your wife. You tell me that you had a first child, then no others afterward. You must have firm trust in the Creator of the world, Who is the Essence of goodness. He will grant the wish of your heart and bestow upon you a child. However, it is almost certain that it is necessary to strengthen your scrupulous observance of the laws and principles of family purity and holiness, which I hope, nevertheless, that you observe in their broad outlines. However, given the importance of these laws, one must put them into practice with the greatest scrupulousness, in accordance with the teachings of our Torah*, Torah* of life, and simultaneously strengthen your trust in the One Who gives the Torah* and the mitzvos*. He will soon grant the wish of your heart.

You also write to me that you have difficulties earning your living. You know the teaching of our holy Torah* according to which "salt prevents the lack of money," which means that one must increase one's contribution to tzedakah* and give it on multiple occasions. One of the propitious times to do so, every weekday, is in the morning, before the prayer. In general terms, one must consider both of these situations as trials, in accordance with the terms of the verse: "Hashem* your Elokim* is testing you in order to know whether you love Him." When Hashem* observes that one has an unshakeable trust in Him, that one strengthens one's practice of the Torah* and the mitzvos*, in general, and of the points previously mentioned, in particular, He removes the trial, grants the blessing, salvation, and success. P.S.: You surely maintain the studies of Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. As we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, these concern every person and they have a propitious effect in various domains.

בעת רצון יזכירו את כולכם על הציון הק׳ של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר

זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע כאו״א למה שנחוץ לו.

ומהנכון לבדוק את התפילין שלו וגם את המזוזות בדירתם שיהיו

כולם כשרים כדין.

מה שכותב אודות זוגתו תחי׳ שמאז לידת הילד הראשון שי׳ ,לא

התברכו לעת עתה בילדים נוספים.

בכלל צריך להיות חזקים בבטחון בבורא העולם שהוא עצם הטוב,

שימלא את משאלות לבבם בעוד זחו״ק.

אבל קרוב לומר ,שיש להוסיף משהו בזהירות ודיוק חוקי ודיני

טהרת המשפחה וצניעות ,אף שהנני מקוה שהעיקרים נשמרים ,אבל

בענין עיקרי כזה ,בעל חשיבות עליונה ,יש לשמור זאת כראוי על פי

ההוראות של תורתנו תורת חיים ,ואז להיות חזק בבטחון בנותן התורה

והמצוה ,שימלא את משאלות לבבם לטובה בזמן קרוב.

מה שכותב את הקשיים בפרנסה ,הרי ידועה הוראת תוה״ק מלח

ממון חסר ,היינו להרבות בצדקה ,ולחלק את הצדקה בפעמים רבות,

ומהזמנים המסוגלים ,זהו בכל יום חול לפני התפילה בבקר.

ובכללות הדבר ,יש לקבל את שני הדברים כנסיון כלשון הכתוב ,כי

מנסה ה׳ אלקיכם אתכם לדעת הישכם אוהבים ,וכשרואים מלמעלה,

שחזקים בבטחון בהשם יתברך ומוסיפים בענינים של תורה ומצוות

בכלל ,ובהאמור לעיל בפרט ,אזי מלמעלה מבטלים את הנסיון ומוסיפים

בברכה ישועה והצלחה.
