Igrot Kodesh · Letter 6223 — Tzedakah
Volume 17 · Letter 78
By the grace of Hashem*,
5 Iyar* 5718,

Shalom* u'vracha*,
I am responding to your letter, written in an extremely concise manner, in which you tell me that you are approaching spiritual tranquility and inheritance. May Hashem* grant that you redouble your ardor in this matter, that you advance from one stage to the next, for our holy Torah* has given us the assurance that "one comes to the aid of the one who wishes to purify himself." Now, tranquility and inheritance are the characteristics of the Beis HaMikdash*, and our Sages* explain that, in the most literal sense, it is a house consecrated to the service of the Creator of the world, so that His holiness becomes evident in the world and in all that pertains to it.
May Hashem* grant that your action, for yourself and toward your fellow, be imbued with tranquility and inheritance, permeated with fear and love of Hashem*, with Chassidic* warmth, so that it may be illuminated by "the candle that is a mitzvah* and the Torah* that is a light," as well as by the luminary of the Torah*, which is its profound teaching. שלום וברכה!
במענה למכתבו כתוב בקיצור נמרץ אשר מתקרב הוא יותר אל המנוחה והנחלה הרוחנית.
הנה יהי רצון שיוסיף אומץ בזה ללכת מחיל אל חיל והרי הבטיחתנו תוה"ק הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו, וכיון שמנוחה ונחלה זהו הענין דבית המקדש וכדרז"ל בזה, אשר ענינו של בית המקדש הוא כפשוטו, בית קדוש מוקדש לעבודת בורא העולם, ז.א. שגם בעולם ובעניניו ממשיכים מהקדושה שלו.
הרי יהי רצון שיעבוד בהנוגע לעצמו ובהנוגע להזולת באופן דאל המנוחה ואל הנחלה חדור יראת שמים ואהבת השם וחום חסידותי בכדי להאירם בנר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה.
