Igrot Kodesh · Letter 6210 — Faith & Bitachon
Volume 17 · Letter 65
By the grace of Hashem*,
1 Iyar* 5718,
Brooklyn,
Shalom* u'vracha*,
I have received, in due time, your letter of March 23, with what was enclosed. At my request, my friend Dr. Seligson contacted one of the great physicians who specializes in the matter. You will find enclosed the letter from Dr. Seligson, communicating the position of this specialist. May Hashem* grant that you know success and that you be able, very quickly, to announce very good news to me on this subject.
As we say in the morning blessings, Hashem* "heals all flesh and performs wonders." Physicians are merely His emissaries. For this, it is necessary to adapt one's behaviors, on a daily basis, to the teachings of the One Who "heals all flesh and performs wonders." When it concerns children, in particular, one must above all observe the dispositions and the laws of our holy Torah*, regarding family purity, in particular the state of Niddah*, the examinations, and the ritual bath. As good as the situation may be in this regard, it is always possible to improve it. Hashem* will thus be able to bestow His blessings, in all one's needs.
It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, as well as the mezuzos* of your home, so that all are kosher* in accordance with the Halachah*. Your wife, for her part, will adopt the positive practice of virtuous Jewish women, which consists of giving tzedakah* every time one lights the candles of Shabbos* and the festivals. With my blessing to convey good news,
P.S.: Due to the absence of the secretary who writes in English, this letter is written in Yiddish. Nevertheless, you may continue to write to me in English.
