To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, of generous conduct, descended from an illustrious family, Rav Sh. Z. (note 1: Shneur Zalman Shazar. See, on his subject, Letters no. 5893 and 6297),
Shalom* u'vracha*,
You have surely received my previous letters, in due time. May Hashem* grant that everything said therein ultimately be followed by action. Indeed, we live in the world of action. Therefore, study and thought are great precisely when they lead to this action. And, this is indeed the proof of the correctness of this study and this thought.
On the occasion of the festival of Matzos*, the time of our freedom, which approaches, for us and for all Israel, for the good, I send you my blessing for a kosher* and joyful festival, a genuine freedom, freedom from material worries and from spiritual worries, from everything that obstructs the service of Hashem*, with joy and enthusiasm. And, you will prolong this freedom and this joy throughout all the days of the year, as it is said: "so that you remember the day of your going out from Egypt, all the days of your life" (note 2: See Letters 6161 to 6163). With my respects, my esteem, and my blessing on the occasion of the festival,
I have just been handed an illustrated brochure that was sent to me at your request. I thank you for having thought of sending it to me, even though I have, of course, not yet had the time to peruse it.

מכתבי הקודמים בטח קבל במועדם, ויהי רצון אשר כל הנבטא בהם יצא סו"ס לפועל, שהרי בעולם המעשה אנו חיים וגדול תלמוד ומחשבה כשהם מביאים לידי מעשה, והרי זוהי גם הבחינה על אמתיות המחשבה והלימוד.
ולקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לחג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב, ולהמשיך מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה, וכמו שנאמר למען תזכור את יום צאתך מארץ מצרים כל ימי חייך.

זה עתה מסרו לי חוברת חזות על פי בקשת כבודו, ותודתי נתונה לו על שימת לבו לשלוח לי קובץ זה, אף שכמובן עדין לא הי' הזמן גרמא לעיין בתוכו.
