Shalom* u'vracha*,

I have duly received your letter from the eve of Shabbos*. We are currently in the propitious days of the month of Nissan*, the month of the redemption. I therefore have hope that you will convey good news to me, that you will announce an improvement in all domains. This is how one exits Egypt every day, how one liberates oneself from everything that obstructs and constitutes a veil. This includes physical health for, according to the expression of the Rambam*, "having a healthy and whole body is among the ways of Hashem*."

It is no doubt unnecessary to remind you that the more you strengthen your trust in Hashem*, the sooner and the more broadly you will observe its effect. Moreover, I know the family of your wife, for we have corresponded. It is therefore surely equally unnecessary to provide her with lengthy explanations to demonstrate to her the necessity of this trust and to emphasize to her that it is easy to attain. Indeed, whoever reflects, with open eyes, can observe, each day, the Providence and the kindness of Hashem*. Certainly, in life, there are also problems and difficulties. Indeed, we find ourselves in a material, coarse world, inferior in its state, as the Tanya* and various texts explain at length. The Creator therefore grants every Jewish man and every Jewish woman the forces necessary not to be affected by this, to follow the ways of the Torah* daily, with joy and enthusiasm, step by step. Moreover, joy and enthusiasm, in turn, reduce the difficulties and the obstacles. And, in this way, one can observe that it was, from the outset, nothing but a test. With my blessing for a kosher* and joyful festival of Pesach*, to convey good news,

שלום וברכה!

מאשר הנני קבלת המכתב מעש"ק, וכיון שנמצאים אנו בימים המסוגלים דחדש ניסן הוא חדש הגאולה, תקותי שיבשרוני טוב מהטבה בכל הענינים, שזהו ענין יציאת מצרים בכל יום ויום, יציאה מענינים המגבילים מצירים ומעלימים, ובזה כמובן גם עניני בריאות הגוף וכלשון הרמב"ם היות הגוף בריא ושלם מדרכי השם הוא.

ובודאי למותר להאריך שככל שהבטחון חזק יותר יותר מוקדם רואים זה ובמדה גדולה, וביחוד בידעי משפחת זוגתו תחי' ע"פ המכתבים, בטח למותר בשבילה האריכות, לא רק בהכרח ענין הבטחון אלא שגם עבודה קלה היא לפי ערך, שהרי המתבונן בעינים פקוחות, רואה השגחת השי"ת וחסד השי"ת יום יום, - אף שבחיים נמצאים גם עניני העלמות וקישוים, שהרי חיים אנו בעולם הזה שהוא עולם גשמי וחומרי עולם תחתון במדריגה וכמבואר בארוכה בתניא ובכ"מ, הרי נותן בורא העולם כחות לכל אחד ואחת מבני ישראל, שלא להתרשם מזה, ובשמחה ובטוב לבב ללכת בדרכי התורה יום יום וצעד אחד צעד, ואדרבה הבטחון והשמחה הם עצמם ממעטים ההעלמות והסתרים, ורואים במוחש שמלכתחלה לא הי' בזה אלא ענין של נסיון.
