Regarding your studies, you know what our Sages* teach: "Whoever makes efforts sees them crowned with success." It therefore depends on you to know success. Nevertheless, to strengthen Hashem's* assistance, you will scrupulously observe the ritual immersion instituted by Ezra. Every weekday, before the prayer, you will set aside a coin for tzedakah*. After the prayer, each day as well, including Shabbos* and festivals, you will recite Tehillim* according to their monthly division.
You allude to your pains. You are surely being treated by a specialist doctor and you are following his prescriptions. You know that peace of mind and the strengthening of trust are among the most effective treatments for such pains. You surely have a set time for studying Chassidus* and you increase it from time to time. Indeed, in everything pertaining to the Torah* and the mitzvos*, we have been given the commandment to know elevation in the domain of holiness.

... ובהנוגע ללימודו, כבר ידועה הודעת חז"ל יגעת ומצאת, שמזה מובן שהצלחת הלימוד בידו הוא, אלא שבכדי להרבות בסייעתא דשמיא, הנה - יזהר בטבילת עזרא, ובכל יום חול קודם התפילה יפריש איזה מטבע לצדקה, ובכל יום אחר התפילה גם בשבת ויום טוב יאמר השיעור תהלים חדשי - כפי שנחלק התהלים לימי החדש.
במ"ש אודות המיחוש שלו, בטח נמצא בטפול רופא מומחה במקצוע וממלא הוראותיו, וידוע אשר מנוחת הנפש וחיזוק הבטחון מהרפואות הכי מעולות למיחושים כמו אלו.
בודאי יש לו קביעות עתים בלימוד תורת החסידות, ומוסיף בזה מזמן לזמן, שהרי, ככל ענין של תורה ומצוות, נצטווינו בזה מעלין בקדש.
