To the members of the holy community Shuvah Yisrael and, at their head, the eminent Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*, Rav Zeev, shlita* (note 1: Rav Z. Greenberg, of Buenos Aires. See, on his subject, Letter no. 5940),

Abundant greetings and blessings,

On the occasion of the festival of Matzos*, the time of our freedom, which approaches, for us and for all Israel, for the good, I herewith send my blessing to each and every one of you, as well as to the members of your families, may Hashem* grant them long life, for a kosher* and joyful festival, a time of our freedom, a genuine freedom. You will prolong this freedom and this joy throughout the entire year. Moreover, the service of Hashem*, as our Torah*, Torah* of life, commands, extends to everything concerning man, throughout the entire day and night, as it is said: "In all your ways, know Him" (note 2: See the previous letter). I have requested that Matzah Shemurah* be sent from here to your community, sufficiently early, so that each person receive at least two kezayis* (note 3: Approximately sixty grams). I hope that you received it in time.

May Hashem* grant that this exert its full effect, the effect that the food of faith and the food of healing can have. As our Sages* explain, in Tractate Rosh Hashanah* 11b, regarding the verse: "They are protected" — "it is in Nissan* that they were redeemed and it is in Nissan* that they will be redeemed." The Guardian of Israel will fulfill, very speedily and in our days, the terms of the promise according to which: "As in the days of your going out from Egypt, I will show you wonders." And, as my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, explains in the Chassidic* discourse entitled: "As in the days of your going out," of 5708 (note 4: 1948), the reference here is to "days," in the plural, that is, to all the days elapsing from the Exodus from Egypt until the future redemption. It is then that "I will show you wonders," through our righteous Mashiach*. With my respects and my blessing for a kosher* and joyful festival of Pesach*,

השלום בריבוי והברכה בריבוי!

לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לכל אחד מהם וב"ב שליט"א ברכת חג כשר ושמח, זמן חירותנו, חירות אמתית.

ואשר ימשיכו מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה.

ובפרט שעבודת השם, כמצווה עלינו בתורתנו תורת חיים, הרי היא בכל עניני האדם ובמשך כל היום וכל הלילה, וכמו שנאמר בכל דרכיך דעהו.

בקשתי אשר, בעוד מועד, ישלחו מכאן לקהלתם קדושה מצות שמורה, באופן אשר יגיעו לכל אחד, על כל פנים, שני זיתים. ותקותי שנתקבלו בעתם.

ויהי רצון מהשי"ת אשר תפעל המצה שמורה פעולתה, פעולת מיכלא דמהימנותא ומיכלא דאסותא, במילואה.

ושומר ישראל, עפ"י דרשת רז"ל עה"פ שמורים הוא בניסן נגאלו בניסן עתידין להגאל (ר"ה יא, ב), יקיים במהרה בימינו ממש את היעוד כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים אראנו נפלאות.

וכמו שיבאר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע (בד"ה כימי צאתך תש"ח).

ימי צאתך לשון רבים, כל הימים מזמן יציאת מצרים עד הגאולה העתידה, אשר אז - אראנו נפלאות על ידי משיח צדקנו.
