To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*, Rav Lipman (note 1: Rav L. Shapiro, of Cleveland. See, on his subject, Letter no. 5594),

Shalom* u'vracha*,

I have received your letter of 3 Adar*, in which you briefly describe the activities of the Chabad* youth association.

May Hashem* grant that, for many more years, you announce such good news to me, in an ever-increasing manner. Indeed, we find ourselves in Adar*, a propitious month, of which it is said: "All was transformed... and many among the nations of the earth converted to Judaism." In a more refined manner, as the Likkutei Torah* explains, in Parshas Devarim*, page 90d, it is what concerns the nations of the world (note 2: The preoccupations of the world) that will become judaized. In fact, our Sages* say that "whoever rejects idolatry is defined as a Jew." May Hashem* grant that you accomplish all of this in true opulence, material and spiritual.

With my blessing for a joyful Purim* and to convey good news,

ויהי רצון שעוד רבות בשנים יבשר טוב בכגון דא ובאופן דמוסיף והולך, והרי נמצאים אנו בחדש אדר הוא חדש הסגולה שבו נאמר ונהפוך הוא וגו', ורבים מעמי הארץ מתייהדים וגו' ועד"ז בדקות שהענינים דעמי הארץ (עיין לקו"ת דברים צ' ד) נעשים באופן שהם מתייהדים (וכדרז"ל כל הכופר בע"ז נק' יהודי) ויהי רצון שיעשה כל זה מתוך הרחבה אמיתית בגשמיות וברוחניות.
