By the grace of Hashem*,

To the attention of the leaders, the administrators, and those who are active for the benefit of the school, based on sacred values, located in the Adas Yisrael* synagogue (note 1: See, on this subject, Letter no. 6043), may Hashem* grant you long life,

Shalom* u'vracha*,

I learned with pleasure, through my close relative, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Shneur Zalman Bespalov, of the advancement of your school, of your activities, and of your faithful efforts to strengthen and develop it.

It is, of course, unnecessary to underscore to you the vital need for a good education, based on sacred values, especially in our era. And, you will easily understand the obligation and the merit that are linked to this sacred mission. Indeed, the education of children is eternal and knows no limits — it extends over all generations. Every positive action in this matter represents an eternal good, added to the visible and tangible good of the present.

We are in the days preceding the month of Adar*, and it is stated that "from the beginning of Adar*, one increases one's joy," which is thereby strengthened and increased. Now, there is no greater joy than that which emanates from the closeness between the sons and daughters of Israel and their Father Who is in Heaven, resulting from the Tradition of our holy masters, from our Torah* which is called Torah* of life, and from its mitzvos*, in daily existence. No doubt you will redouble your ardor in your sacred mission of multiplying joy in the Sanctuary of the Holy One, blessed be He (note 2: In this case, the Adas Yisrael synagogue), His dwelling place here below, as it is stated: "They shall make Me a Sanctuary and I will dwell among them." Thus, in the manner of Hashem*, "measure for measure" (note 3: In the manner in which one acts toward Him), joy will multiply in each one's home, in all spiritual and material good.

With my blessing of success in your sacred mission and to convey good news,

בנועם נודעתי על ידי מחו' הוו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' הרב ר' שניאור זלמן שי' בעזפאלאוו מהתקדמות מוסד החינוך הנ"ל ומהתעסקותם והשתדלותם הנאמנה וביסוסו ולהתפתחותו.

והנה על הצורך החיוני של חינוך הכשר על טהרת הקדש בזמננו זה בפרט, האריכות אך למותר, וכן דעת לנבון נקל על דבר החובה והזכות הכרוכים בעבודת הקדש הלזו, כיון שחינוך הבנים והבנות הוא ענין נצחי ואין-סופי הנוגע לדורות ודורי דורות, שלכן כל פעולה טובה בזה יש בה מן הטוב הנצחי, נוסף על הטוב הנראה והנגלה בהוה.

ובימים אלו שלפני חודש אדר, שמשנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה, היינו שמחה ברבוי ובתוספת, ואין לך שמחה גדולה משמחת קירוב לבם של בני ובנות ישראל לאביהם שבשמים על ידי מסורת אבותנו הק' תורתנו הק' תורת חיים ומצותי' בחיי היום-יום, בטח יוסיפו אומץ בעבודתם בקדש להרבות השמחה במעונו של הקב"ה דירתו בתחתונים לקיים את הכתוב ועשו לי מקדש ושכנתי בתוכם, ובמדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה תתרבה השמחה במעונם של כל אחד ואחד, בכל מילי במיטב מנפש ועד בשר.
