Igrot Kodesh · Letter 6055 — Health

Volume 16 · Letter 283

By the grace of Hashem*,

15 Shevat* 5718,

Brooklyn,

To Mrs. Sonya (note 1: Mrs. S. Gurkov, of London),

Blessings and greetings,

After a long interruption, I was pleased to receive your letter of 12 Shevat*, in which you describe to me the gatherings of Chabad* women and girls in London. Although you do not speak of it, everything possible is no doubt being done to increase the number of participants in these gatherings and studies. Likewise, those who already participate must deepen the interest they arouse. One of the means of achieving this is, for example, to give them, from time to time, the opportunity to read the text themselves (note 2: The text being studied), after appropriate preparation (note 3: Mastery of the reading). May Hashem* grant that your success be considerable. As our holy Torah* explains, those who act and who direct their efforts in this matter multiply the blessings of Hashem* in all their needs, as well as in those of the members of their family.

May Hashem* allow you to announce good news to me, in everything that has just been said, and that, very soon, your state of health improve, as well as that of your husband. For long days and good years, you will derive much satisfaction — a Chassidic* satisfaction — from all your children.

With my blessing,

On behalf of the Rebbe, shlita*,

the secretary,
