On the occasion of the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, which will be this Friday, eve of the holy Shabbos* of the Parashah* of the Song of the Sea, I wish to recall and underscore once again to each of the Chabad* women and girls throughout all of Israel that they must intensify their action for Yiddishkeit*, in general, and in particular according to the program and options of your chapter. These must be strengthened and developed according to the conditions of our era, of these final hours of the dark and bitter exile, in this period of the heel of Moshiach*, when it is necessary to strengthen and broaden the action in favor of a Yiddishkeit* permeated with Chassidic light and warmth.

At the present time, as in all the important moments of our history, the Jewish women must, according to the ways of our holy Torah*, take an active part in all of this. And the Sidrah* of this day, the Parashah* of the Song of the Sea, delivers precisely this teaching. Indeed, "everything follows the conclusion," and the conclusion of the Song presents the Song of Miriam*, the prophetess (note 1: See Letter no. 6037). Indeed, it is the joyful song of Miriam* and of all the women that ensured the fullness of that of the men, of which it is said: "Then Moshe* and the Children of Israel sang" (note 2: The Rebbe notes in the margin: "As is also explained in the talk of Acharon Shel Pesach* 5698, which appears in fascicle no. 38"). The holy Torah* thus delivers a teaching to the Jewish women of all generations. They are directly involved in this and they have a specific merit in the holiest moments and the most important events in the history of our people.

The crossing of the Sea was a preparation for the receiving of the Torah* and the divine revelation at Mount Sinai*. The Jewish women played a decisive role in this revelation. In our days, we are still on the path toward the divine revelation, through our righteous Moshiach*, very soon and in our days. And one prepares for this through the Torah* and the mitzvos*, according to the illumination of Chassidus*. The meditation appropriate to this great merit and this immense responsibility will bring to each of you the motivation that will enable you to intensify your activity, with joy, with Chassidic warmth and light, in your home and in your surroundings.

It is in this way that you will reveal the divine blessings, in order to know success in your personal concerns.

נבג״מ זי״ע ביום שישי ערב שבת קודש פרשת שירה ,רצוני לעודד ולעורר

שוב כל אחת מנשי ובנות חב״ד תחיינה ,בתוך כלל ישראל ,לחזק את

עבודתן עבור יהדות בכלל ,וכפי התכנית והסדר של הסניף שלהן בפרט.

לחזק וגם להגדיל -כפי הנסיבות העכשויות ,השעות האחרונות של

הגלות החשוכה והמרה ,עקבתא דמשיחא ,הדורשת הרחבה והעמקה של

העבודה עבור יהדות ,מוארת וחדורה באור וחמימות חסידיים.

וכמו בכל הרגעים החשובים בתולדותינו ,כך גם כעת ,נשי ישראל

צריכות ליטול על פי אופני ודרכי תורתנו הקדושה חלק פעיל בכך.

גם מהשיעור של יום זה ,מפרשת שירה ,אנו לומדים זאת .סיום

השירה -שהכל הולך הרי ,לפי הסיום -הוא שירת מרים הנביאה .שירת

מרים בשמחה וכל הנשים משלימה את ישיר משה ובני ישראל*.

בכך נותנת תורתנו הקדושה הוראה לנשי ישראל בבל הדורות,

שלאשה היהודי׳ יש אחריות גדולה וזכות ברגעים הכי קדושים

ובמאורעות הכי חשובים בתולדות עמנו.

קריעת ים־סוף היתה הכנה לקבלת התורה ולהתגלות האלוקית

בהר סיני .לנשות ישראל הי׳ חלק חשוב בהכנה זו.

גם היום אנו עומדים בדרך להתגלות האלוקית ,על ידי משיח צדקנו

במהרה בימינו .ההכנה לכך היא ע״י תורה ומצוות באור החסידות.

ההתבוננות הנכונה בזכות הגדולה ובאחריות הגדולה בטח תתן לכל

אחת מהן את העידוד הנחוץ להגדיל את עבודתן בשמחה ובחמימות ואור

חסידיים .כל אחת בתוך ביתה ובסביבה.

ובכך ממשיכות הן גם את הברכות האלוקיות להצליח בעניניהן

הפרטיים . . .
