Your name will be mentioned, at a propitious moment, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with the content of your letter. It is surely unnecessary to point out to you that the more those concerned strengthen their practice of the Torah* and the mitzvos*, the more Hashem* will grant His blessings in what they need.

It is not easy for me to write what follows, but I believe it is my duty not to conceal it from you. Very often, children find themselves in such a situation when the parents, in their time — that is, during the pregnancy — did not perfectly observe the laws and rules of family purity. If this was unfortunately the case in this instance, it is quite evident that one can resolve such a situation only by remedying what caused it. Certainly, all of this seems to belong to the past. However, our holy Torah* emphasizes that "nothing withstands Teshuvah*."

The answer is therefore the following. The Teshuvah* must be even stronger — that is, in this case, twofold. The parents, in the future, will observe the laws and rules of family purity. In addition, they will convince others and, to the fullest extent possible, will spread the practice of family purity. In this way, according to the expression of the Midrash*, "you have saved a soul," and Hashem* will see that many children have been protected in this regard thanks to the practice of their parents. Thus, He will permit the healing of the child, with all that this implies. May Hashem* grant that you find the words, emanating from the heart, and that these have a concrete effect.

P.S.: On this occasion, I wish to underscore to you the necessity of maintaining the three well-known studies that concern every person, as we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*. These are incumbent upon all and they have a positive effect in various domains.
