Shalom* u'vracha*,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of 16 Teves*, in which you briefly describe the wedding of your son, may Hashem* grant him long life. It took place at a good and fruitful time. May Hashem* grant that all the blessings that the Children of Israel bestowed upon the young couple be fully realized, materially and spiritually. You and your wife will derive from them a great Chassidic satisfaction, for long days and good years.

You tell me that he began to recite the Chassidic discourse (note 1: Which is delivered by the groom during the wedding ceremony), then was interrupted, as is the custom (note 2: See, on this subject, Letter no. 5872). You know that this was done at a joyous celebration at which my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, was present. Some then objected to this manner of proceeding (note 3: To the interruption of one who is expounding Torah). He himself then asked that the discourse be recited in its entirety, and then, to comply with this custom, that it be repeated a second time and be interrupted at that point.

You say nothing about your state of health. I conclude that everything is normal and that you are well.

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מט"ז טבת בו כותב ר"פ מחתונת בנם שליט"א בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, ויהי רצון שתקוימנה כל הברכות אשר ברכו בנ"י את הזוג הצעיר שי' קיום במילואן הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, והוא וזוגתו תי' ירוו מהם רוב נחת חסידותי לארך ימים ושנים טובות.

ובמ"ש אשר התחיל המאמר והפסיקוהו מתאים להמנהג, ידוע מה שיארע בכגן דא באחת השמחות שהי' נוכח בה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שבאו ג"כ בטענה אודות המנהג, ואמר שיגמור המאמר בשלימות, ולקיום המנהג יתחיל לאומרו עוד הפעם ויפסיקוהו.

כיון שאינו מזכיר בהנוגע להבריאות, בטח הכל בסדר ובשלום.
