I am, of course, very surprised that you are postponing your marriage until 5719. And you conclude your letter by telling me that it will take place in the middle of the year. Now, according to several opinions, once its first moment has passed, it is already the middle. You should consult, on this subject, Tractate Terumos*, chapter 3, Mishnah* 5, and the Yerushalmi*, with its commentaries, at this same reference.

...מובן שהארכת זמן החתונה לשנת תשי"ט תהי' גדולה ביותר, ובודאי יהי' כסיומו במכ', באמצע הזמן, ולאחר רגע ההתחלה, לדעת כמה וכמה - אמצע נקרא (ראה תרומות פ"ג מ"ה ובירוש' ומפרשים שם).
