I bless you and greet you,

I am responding to your letter, whose delivery was delayed. You inform me of the relationships that exist in your home, which, to a certain extent, disturb your studies, considering what they should be. You ask me what to do in order to organize yourself to study in the fitting manner and according to an appropriate method.

Based on what you write to me, it would be good to consider the possibility of working at the girls' school, or at the Beis Yaakov* school, wherever there is a dormitory. In any case, there is no reason to become discouraged, which would be unthinkable, when one faces difficulties on the path of life. Not everything is ready from the outset. It is necessary to exert effort — sometimes even considerable effort.

Such is the way of our world. Everyone is aware of this regarding themselves, but not knowing precisely what the situation is for their friend, one can sometimes imagine that one is exceptional when going through a turbulent period. Yet it is precisely the trials and difficulties that strengthen a person, enabling them to advance with greater certainty on the path of life.

במענה למכתבה - שנתארך דרך הילוכו, - בו כותבת אודות היחסים אשר בבית, ושבמדה מסוימת מפריע ללימודי' באופן הנראה לה, ושואלת באיזה דרך תוכל להסתדר בכדי ללמוד כראוי ובשיטה הראוי'.

וכיון שכותבת... מהראוי להוודע ע"ד האפשרות שתסדר שם בבית הספר אשר לבנות או בבית ספר בית יעקב מקום שיש שם פנימי', בכל אופן מובן שאין ליפול ברוח ח"ו ממה שיש מכשולים בדרך החיים, ולא הכל מן המוכן, אלא שזקוקים ליגיעה והשתדלות ולפעמים תכופות השתדלות יתירה, כי כן הוא הסדר דעולמנו זה, וכפי שיודע כאו"א בהנוגע אליו, אלא שמאי ידיעות בפרטיות הנעשה אצל חבירו, לפעמים טועה שהוא היוצא מן הכלל, במה שאין דרכו בחיים נוחה בתכלית, ורואים אשר דוקא נסיונות ועכובים אלו מחסנים את האדם ומכשירים אותו ללכת יותר בטוח בדרכו בחיים...
