Greetings and blessings,

After a particularly long interruption, I received with pleasure your letter of this Monday, written in a much more tranquil spirit than the previous one. May Hashem grant that you draw the lesson from this for the future. If it seems to you that some aspect of your life does not conform to your will, you must place your trust in the Creator of the world, Who grants His Providence to each individual. Thus will be fulfilled the well-known promise of our Sages* that "everything that Hashem does is for the good." Ultimately, it will be a visible and tangible good.

Although you do not mention it, I have good hope that you are not content with the dissemination of Judaism carried out within the framework of your salaried work, that you also devote yourself to it during the time at your disposal. Indeed, this dissemination must be carried out at all times, especially in our era and in the United States. It is a considerable and essential mitzvah*.

You tell me that you are worried about the education of your son. You still have time to reflect on all of this, especially since you are devoted to proper education and, presumably, your wife does the same. The Holy One, blessed be He, acts "measure for measure" and you will therefore receive immense and genuine satisfaction — that is, Jewish and traditional satisfaction — from your children.

I enclose a copy of my letter for this past Rosh Hashanah*, whose content remains valid throughout the year. You will surely use it for what has been said.

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך, נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מיום השני כתוב במנוחת נפש הרבה יותר מאשר מכתבו הקודם, ויהי רצון שמזה ילמוד גם על להבא, שבאם ידמה לו שאיזה ענין בחייו הוא לא כפי רצונו, בטוח יהי' בבורא עולם המשגיח על כאו"א בהשגחה פרטית, שיקוים בו מרז"ל הידוע, כל מה דעביד רחמנא לטב עביד, וסו"ס יהי' גם בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

אף שאינו מזכיר ע"ד זה, תקותי חזקה שאינו מסתפק בהפצת היהדות כפי דרישת עבודתו עמלק"פ אלא עוסק בזה גם בזמנו שלו, כי הרי הפצת היהדות בכל הזמנים ובפרט בזמננו בארצוה"ב, מצוה רבה ועיקרית היא.

מ"ש אשר דואגים, מה יהי' בחינוך בנו שי' - עוד חזון למועד להתבונן בזה, ובפרט שהרי עסקו בשטח החינוך הכשר, ובטח גם זוגתו תחי' עושה בזה ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה שיקבלו הם רוב נחת אמיתי הוא נחת יהודי מסורתי מיו"ח שיחיו.
