To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Tzvi (note 1: Rav T. Chitrik, of Rio de Janeiro; see on his subject letters no. 3877 and 5908),

Greetings and blessings,

After yet another interruption, I duly received your letter of 10 Marcheshvan*, in which you briefly describe your activities of recent weeks. Of course, it is very positive to ensure that the other Chassidim*, or even those who are likely to become so subsequently, are attracted by everything pertaining to the domain of Chabad*. In fact, all of Brazil lies before you. I mean that you must spread the wellsprings* (note 2: of Chassidus*, outward) there, not only within your own narrow four cubits, but also in increasingly broader circles, which will extend throughout the entire country. In accordance with the letter of the Rebbe Rashab* that is printed in the introduction to the Kuntres U'Maayon*, there is no longer an established order, in our days, in the transformation of the world's matter. It is therefore no longer necessary to "first conquer your own palace" (note 3: to attain personal perfection before devoting oneself to others). Consequently, those who still experience deficiency within their own four cubits can, despite this, act in the palace of others. Such is the need of the moment and it is therefore certain that one possesses the means to satisfy it.

Specific attention must be given to the summer camp. Special care and great efforts in this matter are justified. As experience has demonstrated, every time this was done in the United States, then in Eretz Yisrael* and in Canada, good organization and a judicious way of drawing benefit from it afterward have a considerable impact. In the most literal sense, one can thereby attract a great number of young people and, through them, many parents and Jewish homes. Moreover, many of them become sufficiently imbued to imbue others and exert a positive influence upon them.

It seems to me that I have already written to you to emphasize the necessity of a program established sufficiently early, in order to benefit, to the fullest extent possible, from the days of Kislev*, in particular 19 Kislev* which is approaching — the Rosh Hashanah* of Chassidus* and Chassidic* ways. For nothing can withstand the will.

לאחרי שוב הפעם הפסק נתקבל מכתבו מיו"ד למ"ח, בו כותב ר"פ מפעולות בשבועות שעברו, ומובן שנכון ביותר לסדר הענינים באופן אשר...יומשכו גם שאר אנ"ש ואפילו אלו שיכולים להיות בעתיד מאנ"ש לשטח עניני חב"ד, שהרי כל הארץ בראזיל לפניהם, כוונתי שמוטל עליהם להפיץ המעינות לא רק בד' אמות מצומצמות שלהם אלא בחוגים ההולכים ומתפשטים עד שיפוצו בכל המדינה, וע"פ מכ' כ"ק אדמו"ר מהורש"ב (נדפס במובא לקונטרס ומעין) דבזמה"ז אופן הבירורים הוא בלא סדר באופן דאין לסדר לכבוש תחלה פלטרין שלך, ז.א. שאפילו אלו שחסר עדיין בד' אמות מצומצמות שלהם, גם עליהם לפעול בפלטרין של אחרים, וכיון שזוהי דרישת השעה, בודאי שניתנה היכולת למלאות הדרישה.

דרושה שימת לב מיוחדת וכדאי ההשתדלות ויגיעות מרובות בהנוגע לקייטנא כו', כי כפי שהראה הנסיון בכל מקום שעשו זה בארצוה"ב, ואחרי זה באה"ק ת"ו וקנדה, כשמארגנים הדבר כדבעי, ומנצלים אח"כ כדבעי התוצאות אפשר לרכוש רכוש רב ע"י קייטנא, פשוטו כמשמעו להמשיך (אריינציהען) מספר גדול של הנוער ועל ידם גם מספר גדול של הורים ובתים בישראל, ולא עוד, אלא שכמה מהם באופן דטופח ע"מ להטפיח ולהשפיע על אחרים.

כמדומה כבר כתבתי אודות תכנית מסודרה בעוד מועד בהנוגע לניצול ימי כסלו וביחוד י"ט כסלו הבע"ל ר"ה לחסידות ודרכי החסידות באופן הכי אפשרי, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
