Blessings and greetings,

I received your letter in its time and I took note with pleasure of the specific program you have conceived for the Chassidim* of Kfar Chabad*. I thank you for having thought to inform me of it.

It is surely unnecessary to emphasize the particular merit and responsibility incumbent upon each man and woman: one must have recourse to all means to support and encourage our brethren, the children of Israel, in the spirit of the Torah* and the Tradition. The greater the opportunities, the greater the responsibilities as well. In our days, the capabilities of transmission surpass all limits and even cross borders. The manner in which they are used is therefore particularly important. Of course, it is not sufficient to prevent a negative use — one must also use them positively, in the broadest manner, by strengthening daily life based on Torah* and mitzvos*, upon which depends the continuity of our people, which has been confronted with multiple trials and has overcome them solely through its attachment to the living Elokim* and the Torah of life.

All of this provides decisive proof that Torah* and mitzvos*, constituting the Tradition, are indeed the essence of the life of our people, the children of Israel, in every place where they are found, in every generation. This is the secret of its survival. Fortunate is the one who makes full use of his possibilities and his means to strengthen and to disseminate the light emanating from this way of life.

I conclude by wishing you, as well as all those who work for the broadcasting services, to make full use of the opportunities in the manner just defined and to know success.

מכתבה נתקבל לעתו, ונהניתי לקרוא בו ע"ד התכנית המיוחדת שסדרה על חסידי כפר חב"ד, ות"ח על שימת הלב להודיעני מזה.

בטח למותר להדגיש את הזכות והאחריות שעל כל אחד ואחת לנצל כל אפשריות לחזק ולעודד את אחב"י ברוח התורה והמסורה, וככל אשר השידור אין לו הגבולות ואפשר להגיע על ידו אפילו מעבר לגבולין וכו', וחשוב הוא מאד איך מנצלים כח זה.

ומובן שאין מספיק מה שאין משתמשים בו לדבר שאינו רצוי, אלא צריך לנצלו באופן חיובי ובמדה הכי גדולה, והוא חיזוק החיים היומיומיים בדרך התורה והמצוה, שבזה תלוי קיומו של עמנו אשר רבות עברו עליו ויצא בשלום אך ורק הודות לדבקותו באלקים חיים ובתורת חיים, ומכאן הוכחה מוחלטת שהתורה והמצוה המסורתית הן הן עצם חיות עמנו בני ישראל בכל מקום שהם ובכל דור ודור, ובזה סוד קיומו. ואשרי אדם המנצל כל אפשריותיו ויכלתו להחזיק ולהפיץ אור החיים הזה.

ואחתום בברכה אשר גם היא בתוך סגל העובדים בשירות השידור ינצלו את כל אפשריותם בכיון האמור ויצליחו בזה.
