Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter from the conclusion of Shabbos*, in which you describe the state of health of your wife. You communicate the doctor's opinion, according to which an ear operation is necessary.
You are no doubt alluding to a surgical procedure that enables the movement of a small bone in the ear. If this is indeed the case, you will have it performed by a specialist. And it is advisable to have it performed, insofar as it is a minor procedure. In fact, this operation bears the name of the one who devised it, Doctor Rosen. This detail may enable you to verify the specifics. In any case, in such matters one relies on the opinion of two specialists.
May Hashem grant you the success of conveying good tidings regarding this and regarding everything that concerns you in general, in particular your essential concerns — those pertaining to Torah* and mitzvos*.

במענה למכתבו ממוצש"ק, בו כותב אודות מצב בריאות זוגתו תחי' ודעת הרופא בהנוגע לנתוח באזן.
וכנראה כוונתו לנתוח הגורם אפשרית תנועה עצם קטן שבאזן, ובאם כן הוא ויעשה זה ע"י מומחה במקצוע זה, נכון לעשות נתוח זה, כיון שכשנעשה ע"י מומחה דבר קל הוא, ודרך אגב נתוח זה נקרא על שם מחדשו ד"ר ראזין, ואפשר זה יעזור להוודע הפרטים בהאמור, בכל אופן ידוע שבכגון דא סומכים על שני רופאים מומחים במקצוע, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בהאמור וכן בכלל בעניניו, ובהעיקר שבהם מעניני תורה ומצות.
