Greetings and blessings,
I thank you for the good tidings you conveyed to me — that of the improvement in the state of health of this woman, to whom Hashem will grant long life. May Hashem grant that you convey good tidings to me also regarding the other points you mention in your letter. You will tell me, in particular, that you derive satisfaction from the conduct of all your children.
In this matter, there applies the saying of our holy masters according to which: "If one thinks that all is well, all will indeed be well." It is quite evident that if one views their conduct with benevolence, it will likewise conform to this saying. How much more so regarding the way one speaks to them — a positive attitude enables one to obtain much more than the opposite approach. Certainly, our Sages* say that "the Kohanim* are short-tempered." But various Chassidic* texts explain at length that they are precisely connected to the attribute of chesed* (kindness). This is particularly the case for those who have received a Chassidic* education.

... ת"ח על בשורתו הטובה שכבר הוטב מצב בריאות... שתליט"א, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב גם בשאר הענינים אודותם מזכיר במכתבו, ובעיקר מקבלת נחת רוח מהנהגת כל יו"ח... שיחיו וכו', ואפילו על כגון דא קאי פתגם רבותינו נשיאנו הק' טראכט גוט וועט זיין גוט, ומובן גם ע"פ פשוט, כי כשמביטים על הנהגתם בעין טובה במילא ההנהגה אתם היא ג"כ מתאימה לזה, והדבור עאכו"כ, ומה שאפשר לפעול בדברי קירוב, מובן שגדול כו"כ משע"י הנהגה דקו ההפכי, ואף שארז"ל שכהנים קפדנים הם, הנה מבואר בכ"מ בארוכה בדא"ח שהם דוקא מקו החסד, ובפרט אלה שזכו לחינוך חסידותי...
