To the distinguished Chassidim* who fear Hashem, who participate in the public teaching (note 1: given by Rav Gluskin, of Ramat HaSharon) of Torah* and who will all receive blessing,

Greetings and blessings,

I received, in its time, your request for a blessing. On the eve of this Rosh Hashanah*, I read it at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, leader of Israel. According to the well-known teaching of our masters, it is said concerning a leader of Israel: "Just as he previously (note 2: when he lived physically) fulfilled his mission, he does so still (note 3: after having departed this world)," and he therefore invokes the great mercy of Hashem for his flock, so as to satisfy the needs, spiritual and physical, of each one.

May Hashem, in His immense mercy, bless this year, so that all the blessings, spiritual and material, that the Jewish people exchanged (note 4: on the occasion of the new year) may be fully fulfilled in it. How much more so for those who fix a time for studying Torah*, for it is the channel and the vessel enabling one to receive the blessings of Hashem, in all of a person's needs and those of the members of his family. In accordance with the saying of the Alter Rebbe*, author of the Tanya* and Decisor of the hidden part of the Torah*, author of the Shulchan Aruch* and Decisor of the revealed part of the Torah*, this fixation shall be both in time and in the soul, which is essential.

You know that what is fixed cannot be annulled. All of this is therefore sufficiently important to enable one to overcome all the veils and all the obstacles of our world, to reveal the blessing inscribed in our Torah*, "You shall walk in My statutes," meaning that "you shall exert your efforts in Torah*." Thereby, "I will give your rains in their time," as well as everything mentioned in the Parshah*. May Hashem grant that always and every day, each one convey to the other only good tidings, material and spiritual.

בעתו קבלתי הפ"נ שלהם, ובערב ראש השנה העבר קראתיו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל.

אשר על נשיא בישראל הרי נאמר מאמר רז"ל הידוע, מה להלן עומד ומשמש, אף כאן עומד ומשמש, ומעורר ר"ר על צאן מרעיתו להמצטרך להם מנפש ועד בשר.

ויהי רצון אשר השי"ת ברחמיו המרובים, יברך שנה זו אשר יקויימו בה כל הברכות אשר ברכו בני ישראל איש לרעהו במילואן מנפש ועד בשר.

וביחוד לאלו הקובעים עתים לתורה, אשר היא הצנור והכלי לקבלת ברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך לאדם וב"ב, קביעות מתאים לפתגם רבנו הזקן, בעל התניא - פוסק בנסתר דתורה - והשו"ע - פוסק בנגלה דתורה - קביעות בזמן וקביעות בנפש, והוא העיקר.

והרי ידוע אשר קבוע לא בטל, ז.א. אשר גדול ענין זה להתגבר על ההעלמות וההסתרים אשר בעולמנו, ולהמשיך הברכה הכתובה בתורתנו בחקתי תלכו, שתהיו עמלים בתורה, ונתתי גשמיכם בעתם וגו' כל הענינים המנוים בפרשה.

ויהי רצון אשר תכה"י יתבשרו כאו"א איש מרעהו אך טוב הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.
