To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Reuven (note: Rav R. Kaminetski, of Kfar Chabad*),
Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of the day during which the word "good" was said twice (note: Tuesday of creation), conveying a good report on the state of health of this man, may Hashem grant him long life, as well as on your activities following the festival of Sukkos*, to spread the wellsprings (note: of Chassidus*), within the framework of the Chabad* Youth.
May Hashem grant that you always announce to me good news, every day, of a visible and tangible good, in your personal concerns and in your communal accomplishments. Indeed, one depends on the other, particularly among Chassidim*. For you know the teaching of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* (note: see, on this subject, Igros Kodesh, letters no. 4558, 4577, and 5950), according to which "an individual is a community." And everything depends solely on your will.
Your reward will be granted to you according to the attribute of Hashem — that is, "measure for measure," but in greatly increased proportion. When someone makes efforts to improve the situation of Jews, materially or spiritually, he himself receives success in all his accomplishments, physical and moral, as our holy books explain repeatedly.
You have surely also taken advantage of the days of Shemini Atzeres* and Simchas Torah*, as the works of Chassidus* explain. May Hashem grant that the joy continue throughout the entire year.

שליט"א וכן בהנוגע לפעולותיהם במוצאי חג הסוכות במסגרת יפוצו מעינותך מטעם צעירי אגו"ח.
ויהי רצון אשר תכה"י יבשר טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה בהנוגע לענינים הפרטים ובנוגע לענינים הכללים והרי הא בהא תליא ובפרט בתוככי אנ"ש, וכידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שכל יחיד רבים הוא, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצונו, ושכרו במדתו של הקב"ה שהיא מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכ"פ ככה, שעל ידי הטבת מצב בנ"י אם ברוחניות או בגשמיות, מצליח המשתדל בזה בעניניו הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות וכמבואר בכ"מ בספרים הק'.
בודאי ניצלו גם ימי שמע"צ ושמח"ת כמבואר בספרי דא"ח ויהי רצון שתומשך השמחה על כל השנה כולה.
