Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your request for a blessing.

Some time ago, appalling news reached here (note: see Igros Kodesh, letter no. 5783) that you raised your hand against a young Chabad man who devotes himself to communal needs, to education based on sacred values. As the later Sages* establish, it is necessary to rectify this situation down here, in order to prevent the same from occurring Above, Heaven forbid. I hope that you have already apologized to him long ago, as our holy Torah* ordains. Nevertheless, I hereby make the necessity clear to you. All those who had knowledge of what occurred must also be informed that an apology was presented.

This letter is sent to you by express mail, so that before the holy day (note: Yom Kippur*) that is approaching, this matter will be settled, as the Mishnah* specifies at the end of tractate Yoma*. This is self-evident. Upon receiving this letter, you will surely confirm to me that it is in your possession.

לפני איזה זמן נתקבלה לכאן שמועה מבהילה אשר הרים יד באברך חבד"י העוסק בצ"צ חינוך על טהרת הקדש, כפי המפורש באחרונים צריך לבטל הנ"ל למטה - בשביל למנוע ענין דומה מלמעלה ח"ו. ואף שהתקוה שזה מכבר בקש מחילה ממנו - כמצווה בתוה"ק, בכל זה מעוררים אותו על זה בפירוש - שבקשת מחילה צריך להוודע הענין לכל אלו שידעו מהענין עליו מבקשים מחילה.

ונשלח המכתב מהיר דחוף, בכדי שועד קודם יום הקדוש הבע"ל יסודר הענין, וכפסק המשנה סוף יומא וק"ל.

בודאי יאשר קבלת המכתב תיכף לקבלתו.
