Greetings and blessings,

I thank you for your letter of the sixth day of Elul*, in which you describe, though very briefly, how your marriage took place, at a good and fruitful time. May Hashem grant that this be a good beginning for building a Chassidic* home, in accordance with the will of our holy masters. Your sacred mission with the students of the preparatory class of the Yeshiva* Toras Emes (note: the Lubavitch yeshivah of Jerusalem) will protect you, so as to multiply blessing and success in this matter. May Hashem grant that you give me good news of all this.

P.S.: I received, in its time, your letter of 25 Tammuz, although I did not have the opportunity to confirm this to you until now. You tell me that you recited an excerpt of the Chassidic* discourse entitled "Lecha Dodi" (note: at the wedding, as the Previous Rebbe had done at the Rebbe's own wedding). What do you mean by "excerpt" (note: why was it not recited in its entirety?)? Moreover, explanations have been given regarding this discourse. It was discussed at length in the Chassidic* gatherings of Shavuos* in recent years. One finds in it the teaching of all our holy masters, and if one recites only an excerpt, one cannot know its full content (note: which master taught it). I am sending you this letter by express mail so that at least within the month following your marriage, you recite this discourse in its entirety. You will disseminate all of this and encourage those who are in the same situation as you, so that at least in the future this matter will be rectified.

ועבודתו בקדש עם תלמידי המכינה דישיבת תורת אמת, תעמוד להרבות הברכה והצלחה גם בזה. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל האמור.

מכתבו מכ"ה תמוז נתקבל בעתו אף שמסיבה לא נתאשר עד עתה.

לפלא מה שכותב שחזר קטע ממאמר לכה דודי, מהו הפירוש - קטע. ובפרט שבענין זה הנה מבואר ע"ד מאמר זה ונדבר גם בארוכה בהתועדות דחג השבועות בשנים שעברו, שבו נמצא מתורתם של כל רבותינו נשיאינו הק', ובאם חוזרים חלק המאמר, הרי להחוזר אין ידוע מה נכלל ומה וכו'.

ושולח הנני מכתבי מהיר דחוף, בכדי שעכ"פ בתוך חדש החופה יחזור עוד הפעם המאמר בשלימות. ויפרסם ויעורר את כל אלו שבמצב דומה הם, שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא יעשה הנ"ל כדרוש...
