Greetings and blessings,

After an interruption, I was pleased to receive your letter of 22 Menachem Av and even more so to read it. You tell me, indeed, that many matters have been resolved and have fallen into order. Without a doubt, this will have the consequence that the same will occur in the other areas, which will prove to be insignificant. The less you think about them, the more quickly they will disappear, for they have no true existence.

Moreover, we find ourselves in the days during which we say twice daily: "Hashem is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?" By having the firmest trust in Hashem — without discussion, without dispute, and without analysis — by being convinced in the most literal sense that Hashem directs the entire world, that everything depends on Him, that He is truly "my light and my salvation," one will say to oneself, self-evidently: "Whom shall I fear?" — that there is no reason to be afraid, to experience fright. In accordance with the ruling of the Mishnah* that peace is the receptacle containing the blessing of the Holy One, blessed be He — and the harmony of the couple being one of the highest forms of this peace — I hope that it reigns within your home as well. And nothing can withstand determination.
