Greetings and blessings,

I am replying to your letter of 16 Tammuz*. I have already written to you that you must stop being afraid of what any man can do to you. Our Elokim*, Who is in Heaven, extends His Providence to each and every individual. It therefore suffices to forge the channels and receptacles to elicit and integrate His blessings. This can be done through Torah* and mitzvos*, and when an additional blessing is needed, one must intensify one's commitment to Torah* and mitzvos*, through which this blessing can be obtained from Hashem.

You write that in the middle of the night, your wife begins to scream and cry. You should therefore have the mezuzos* of your home inspected. She herself should set aside a few coins for tzedakah* before the lighting of candles, as well as every weekday morning. Before going to sleep, she should read the first paragraph of Shema Yisrael*. Starting from one or two hours before bedtime, she should no longer consume foods that are difficult to digest.

I was pleased to learn that you participated in the Festival of Liberation at Kfar Chabad*. May Hashem grant that the joy and inspiration for Torah* and mitzvos* be maintained throughout the entire year.

במענה על מכתבו מט"ז תמוז.

כבר כתבתי לו שיחדול לפחד מה יעשה לו בן אדם, ואלקינו שבשמים משגיח על כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית והוא עצם הטוב, ורק צריך לעשות הצנורות והכלים להמשכת וקבלת ברכותיו, והם עניני תורה ומצותי', וכשצריך תוספת ברכה צריך להוסיף בתורה ומצוות שבהם ועל ידם מקבלים ברכות השי"ת.

בהנוגע לזוגתו תי' שכותב שבאמצע הלילה צועקת ובוכה כו', יבדקו מזוזות דירתם, והיא תפריש איז[ה] פרוטות לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות ובכל יום חול בבוקר, ולפני השינה תקרא פרשה ראשונה של קריאת שמע, ולא תאכל מאכלים קשים לעכל שעה או שתים לפני השינה.

נעם לי לקרות שהשתתף בחג הגאולה בכפר חב"ד, ויהי רצון שימשיך השמחה והתעוררות לעניני תורה ומצות על כל השנה כולה.
