Greetings and blessings,

I am replying to your letter of 3 Tammuz*, in which you briefly describe what has taken place during these past two months. How fortunate is your lot! You have the merit of spreading the wellsprings of the Words of the Living Elokim*, of Chassidus*, by teaching it to several of your friends. May Hashem grant you success, so that the number of participants in this study multiply more and more. As you know, our Sages* give the assurance that: "If you make efforts, they will be crowned with success." Being the camp leader (note: possibly of a military camp), you will surely take advantage of this to exert your influence in this direction, in accordance with the intellectual capacities, aptitudes, and knowledge of each individual. And nothing resists determination, especially since the merit of the public comes to your aid.

You tell me that you take a moral reckoning and you wonder by what right you teach others, knowing what your own situation truly is. You know the criterion for establishing the origin of such an argument. If it prevents you from performing a positive action, you can be certain that it emanates from "the other side" (note: the forces of evil), in accordance with the saying of the Rebbe Rashab* reproduced in the Hayom Yom*, at the date of 23 Sivan* 5703, which you should consult. Stop being confounded in this way! Be troubled no longer by such thoughts! You will give me good news of the influence you exert on your surroundings, and our Father Who is in Heaven promises you that in reward, "his mind and heart will become a thousand times more refined."

במענה על מכתבו בג' תמוז, בו כותב ראשי פרקים אשר עבר עליו במשך שני החדשים האחרונים. ואשרי חלקו אשר זוכה להפיץ מעיינות דברי אלקים חיים היא תורת החסידות על ידי לימודו תורה זו עם כמה מחבריו. ויהי רצון שחפץ ה' בידו יצליח להרבות מספר המשתתפים בלימוד זה הלוך והוסיף. וידועה הבטחת רז"ל יגעת ומצאת.

ובודאי ינצל גם היותו ראש המחנה של... להשפיע גם עליהם בכגון דא, מתאים להבנתם והשגתם וכשרונותיהם וידיעותיהם, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ובפרט אשר זכות הרבים מסייעתו.

מה שכותב שעושה חשבון בנפשו מי הוא ללמוד עם אחרים בידעו מצבו הוא כו', כבר ידוע בזה הבחינה לדעת ממי באה טענה דכגון זו, שאם הטענה מונעת מפעולה טובה בידוע שהיא באה מהלעומת זה, וכפתגם כ"ק אדמו"ר מהרש"ב נעתק בהיום יום כ"ג סיון תש"ג, עיין שם. וכלך מפיזור הנפש ומבלבולי מחשבות כגון אלו, ויבשר טוב מהשפעתו על תלמידיו ומושפעיו, ושכרו מובטח מאבינו שבשמים שנעשים לבו ומוחו זכים אלף פעמים ככה.
