in our Holy Land (note: the same letter was sent to the directors of Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch* of Lod), may Hashem grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
Several young men have asked me concerning the new possibility that is being offered — the position that is proposed for four years (note: teaching in lieu of military service; see also letter no. 5585).
Here, we do not have all the details on this matter. Furthermore, changes may occur, as with everything that is new.
It would be good for all to consult together in detail about this — the administration of Yeshiva* Tomchei Temimim* and that of the network (note: Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch* schools) in the Holy Land. Based on your conclusions, you will be able to advise the young men who approach you.

P.S.: Some time ago, the possibility of increasing the number of schools in the network was considered. Now, this proposal provides the means to do so easily, without becoming politically involved. It also enables the development of the network in a new direction. You will no doubt consider this point as well, with all the attention it requires. I await your good news.

ומהנכון שיתייעצו ביניהם (הנהלת תו"ת והנהלת הרשת אשר באה"ק ת"ו) על כל ענין זה לפרטיו, ובהתאם להמסקנות ייעצו לאברכים השואלים בזה.
