I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 2 Tammuz*, in which you inform me of the changes that have occurred in your class. For various reasons, these do not suit you. You have taken counsel with some of those who are at the Yeshivah* and with its administration. All are of the same opinion, and you ask me what you should do.

It is quite obvious that everything that happens at the Yeshivah* must conform to the will of its administration. Indeed, the continuity of every institution is conditioned upon submission to those who direct it. In this case, you must present your arguments to the administration. You have no doubt already done so. You may ask those with whom you consulted to also address the administration. Nevertheless, all can only formulate proposals. For concretely, one must obey. This is a fundamental principle.

You have surely already received, some time ago, the answer to your previous letter.

במענה למכתבו מב' תמוז, בו כותב אודות השינוים שחלו בכתתו, ואשר מכמה טעמים לא נראים לו שינוים אלו, והתייעץ עם אחדים מהנמצאים בישיבה ובהנהלה וגם הם דעתם כדעתו, ושואל מה עליו לעשות.

והנה מובן וגם פשוט שכל עניני הישיבה יש לעשותם כהוראת ההנהלה שהרי בכל מוסד קיומו תלוי בהמשמעת להנהלת המוסד, אלא שבהנ"ל עליו לבאר לההנהלה את הטעמים שלו, ובטח כבר עשה זה, וכן יכול לבקש את אלו שהתייעץ עמהם שידברו ג"כ עם ההנהלה, אבל כל זה הוא בדרך הצעת דברים, ובהנוגע לפועל מוכרחת המשמעת וכנ"ל ענין עיקרי הוא.

המענה על מכתבו הקודם בטח נתקבל מכבר.
