Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter regarding Gan Yisrael*. The matter has been forwarded to the administrators and they will contact you directly.

I am surprised that you say nothing in your letter about the actions you are undertaking to spread the wellsprings (note: of Chassidus*) outward. This is the need and the necessity of the moment. You know the holy letter of the Baal Shem Tov* on this subject (note: in which Moshiach told him he would come when his teachings spread outward). It has been disseminated and its contents have surely reached you. It is certain that it conveys a teaching to all who become aware of it.

You also know the saying of the Baal Shem Tov, which we heard from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, that everything a Jew sees or hears must convey to him a teaching for his service of Hashem. In fact, a brief reflection suffices to establish that this idea is an integral part of the mitzvah* of faith. Chance does not exist. Moreover, the Mishnah states: "I was created to serve my Creator" (Kiddushin 4:14).

Of course, the point is not, first and foremost, that everything that has been accomplished should be known here, but rather to emphasize the importance and necessity of such actions, in accordance with the teaching of our Sages that "one encourages diligence only in those who naturally possess this quality" (Makkos 23a).

במענה על מכתבו בהנוגע ל"גן ישראל", נמסר הענין להם ויבואו עמו בקישור ישר.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר במכתבו אודות פעולותיו בהפצת המעינות חוצה, והרי זוהי דרישת וגם הכרח השעה, וכידוע אגרת הקדש של הבעש"ט בזה, אשר כיון שנתפרסמה והגיעו דברי האגרת אליו בודאי שזהו הוראה לכל אלו שנודעו אודותה, וכידוע פתגם הבעש"ט ששמענוהו כ"פ מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שכל דבר שאיש הישראלי רואה או שומע יש בזה הוראה בשבילו בעבודת השי"ת, ובאמת בהתבוננות גם קלה מובן שזהו חלק מצות האמונה שאין דבר במקרה, ובצירוף הודעת המשנה אני נבראתי לשמש את קוני. מובן ג"כ שאין עיקר כוונתי להודיע לכאן אודות פעולות האמורות כ"א התעוררות בנחיצות והכרח פעולות אלו, ונשען על מרז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין.
