I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter from last Tuesday and I am surprised that you reproach us, for we have never received a letter or dues from you. I ask that you kindly address everything concerning us exclusively to our address. Thus, your request will be fully satisfied.

The brochures you have just received were sent to you as specimens and we were surprised to have received no response from you on this subject.

It is therefore with joy that we now count you among our subscribers. With the help of Hashem, you will receive all the monthly publications and you will kindly regularize your subscription. You will also find other subscribers for, having recognized the value of the conversations with the youth [1], you will undoubtedly agree that they should be found in every Jewish home.

In the enclosed brochure, you will be able to learn of the important work accomplished by the Merkaz LeInyonei Chinuch, presided over by my father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita*, in the educational domain, as well as the various publications that have been produced. We are also sending you specimens of what has been published recently.

It is surely possible, in your city, to disseminate these publications and to improve the state of education. We wish, in particular, to draw your attention to the Mesibos Shabbos*, about which an account has been sent to you by separate mail. Perhaps you can organize them yourself in your city?

Having had good news from you, we are convinced that you will devote yourself with all your heart to the work of the Merkaz LeInyonei Chinuch. We will be happy to learn of what you have accomplished in your city in the domain of religious education.

When Haman* wanted to kill the Jews, Mordechai* did not content himself with asking Esther* to intercede with Achashverosh*. He himself gathered the Jewish children, as our Sages relate, and taught them Torah, in particular the Laws that will be applicable when the Temple is rebuilt. And our Sages also affirm that the Decree was annulled in this way.

Thus, when the Jewish people lives through a painful moment, the most effective means of saving it are Jewish education, in the spirit of Torah and tradition, and the development in all hearts of the hope in the deliverance, very soon and in our days, by our righteous Moshiach*, a feeling that completely repels despair, which Hashem forbid. In this way, the Jews become the strongest and "for the Jews there was light, joy, gladness and honor" [2].

With the hope of receiving very soon your good news and with my blessing of immediate Teshuvah, immediate deliverance,

במענה על מכתבו מיום ג' שבוע העבר, לפלא שבא בתביעה אלינו, כי מעולם לא קבלנו מאתו לא מכתב ולא דמי חתימה. ובבקשה רבה, אשר כל השייך אלינו יכתוב ע"פ הכתובת שלנו. ובודאי תמולא בקשתו בדיוק.

החוברות אשר קבל עתה, הן חוברות אשר שולחים אנו לדוגמא ולפלא הי' לנו כי לא קבלנו מכ' מכתב מענה כל עת זו.

ועתה שמחים אנו להכניס את מע"כ שי' בין רשימת החותמים ויקבל את החוברות החדשיות תמידין כסדרן אי"ה. ובטח ישלח דמי החתימה. וגם ישתדל לרכוש להן עוד קוראים. כי גודל ערכן הן בטח הכיר מע"כ שי', ונכון לעשות את ה"שמועסן" וה"טאקס" ל"בני-בית" בכל בית יהודי.

מהעלון הלוטה בזה יראה מע"כ שי' גודל העבודה הנעשית ע"י מרכז לעניני חינוך, העומד תחת נשיאות מו"ח כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א, בשדה החנוך, ועניני הדפוס השונים שיצאו לאור. שולחים אנו לכ' גם דוגמאות מעניני הדפוס שהופיעו זה לא כבר. בטח גם במחנו יש מקום להפצת עניני דפוס אלה ולהטבת מצב החנוך בכלל. ובפרט רוצים אנו להעיר תשומת לב כ' לענין "מסבות שבת" (דו"ח ע"ד עבודת ה"מסבות" בפרט נשלח לו), ואולי יאות מע"כ שי' לארגן "מסבות שבת" במחנו.

בשמענו שמעו הטוב, בטוחים אנו אשר מע"כ שי' יתענין בכל לבו בעבודת מל"ח ונשמח לשמוע ממנו בקרוב מהנעשה במחנו למען החנוך החרדי.

בעת אשר קם המן ובקש להשמיד להרוג גו' הנה מרדכי, מלבד אשר בקש את אסתר שתתחנן לפני אחשורוש, אסף, כסיפור רז"ל, (מדרש רבה אסתר, בסופו) ילדי ישראל ולמד אותם תורה ובפרט הלכות השייכות לזמן שיבנה בית המקדש, וע"פ ל' חז"ל, עי"ז בטלה גזירת המן.

זאת אומרת, בשעת צרה היא ליעקב, מעיקרי הצלת כל עם ישראל הוא חנוך ילדי - וילדות - ישראל ברוח התורה והיהדות, והשרשת תקות הגאולה - ואל יאוש ח"ו - במהרה בימינו ע"י משיח צדקנו, בלבותם. ואז נהפוך הוא אשר ישלטו היהודים גו' וליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר.
