Igrot Kodesh · Letter 545 — Torah as Channel of Blessing and Book Distribution

By the grace of Hashem,

24 Mar'Cheshvan 5710,

To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav B.T., the Shochet*[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letters of 2 Mar'Cheshvan and of the Thursday of Parashat Noach*. Similarly, I received today the one hundred and six dollars and the Israeli pound.

By separate parcel, three copies of an index of the Chassidic* discourses of the Rabbi*[2] have been sent to you, which was published for the 20th of Cheshvan*[3] — one for you and the other two for sale. A copy was also sent to Rav M.F.[4]. Please confirm receipt and let me know in what manner the books are being distributed.

You have undoubtedly set aside a time to study the teachings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* shlita*, leader of the present generation.

All blessings are thus revealed through him. It is for this reason that the distribution of meat also had to be carried out by Moshe*, our teacher. Now, various texts allow us to establish that the channel of these blessings is the Torah*. Our Sages emphasize that the world was created through the Torah* and is sustained by it. Consult the Chassidic* discourse of 18 Elul* 5709.
