To the honorable man, who devotes himself to the service of Hashem,

the Chassid*, Rav I.

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter from the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shevat, with your check for five dollars for the five calendars. In accordance with your request, we will send you 24 monthly brochures, in English, from the month of Teves. Those of Shevat will appear on the 15th of Shevat.

We rejoice at your decision to participate in the dissemination of these brochures and we thank you for it. You will undoubtedly realize very quickly their great usefulness for their readers.

We have just published a precise version of the blessings and prayers, with an English transliteration. We will send it to you for the institution you direct and, in general, for the young people you contact. The brochure costs 15 cents. For a Talmud Torah*, it is sold at 10 cents.

The verse says that "man is like the tree of the field." The house of Israel is the vineyard of Hashem, whose fruits are the children, young boys and young girls. A director of a school or kindergarten thus bears an immense responsibility, since this vineyard has been directly entrusted to him by its Owner. Our Sages affirm that devoting oneself to children is a sacred work.

Your merit is therefore immense, since Hashem has entrusted you with His vineyard. And one can observe that the slightest improvement, even minute, of a seed, is of immense benefit for the tree that will subsequently grow.

כאשר יהודים נאספים יחד לשם מטרה הקשורה בתורה ומצוות,
יכולים להיות בטוחים ,שזה יביא פירות טובים ובהצלחה .ובמיוחד
כאשר מדובר אודות חינוך כשר לילדי ישראל ,שעליהם אנו משליכים את
יהבנו תקותנו שימשיכו את שרשרת הזהב של תורה ומצוות בדור הבא,
הרי בתורה ומצוות עצמם זהו מהדברים המובחרים והכי חשובים.
מטרה זו ועבודה זו חייבות לעורר את ההתענינות הכי גדולה של כל
היהודים בסביבה ליטול חלק כמה שיותר גדול בזה ,שזה עצמו מעורר
תוספת ברכה והצלחה מהשם יתברך.
לכן הנני בטוח שהסעודה הנוכחית תביא פעולות גדולות מאוד
במובן הגשמי ומה שלא פחות חשוב גם במובן הרוחני.

ביתם שיחיו ,ברכה והצלחה בחיים הפרטיים ,בגשמיות וברוחניות.
