Greetings and blessings,

I went today to the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, and I mentioned the name of your wife, may Hashem* grant her long life, in accordance with your request for a blessing.

May Hashem, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders, grant you the merit and the success of conveying good tidings — of this and of all that concerns you.

We are on the eve of Rosh Chodesh*, and it is in this month that the New Year of the Trees will be celebrated (see note 1). Now, "man is like the tree of the field." Moreover, according to the opinion of Beis Shammai*, expressed in the Mishnah*, we are on the eve of this New Year (see note 2). And it is known that "both of them (see note 3) express the word of the living Elokim*." Furthermore, you will consult Likkutei Torah*, Bamidbar*, page 54c, which states that in the World to Come, the halachah* will follow the opinion of Beis Shammai.

Concerning, more specifically, the Chassidim* and the students of the yeshivah*, this month is that of the hilula* of the leader of our generation (see note 4), my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. He invokes the mercy of Hashem for those who are bound and attached to him. He himself declared that the shepherds of Israel do not separate from their flock.

בהיותי היום על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הזכרתי את זוגתו שתליט"א ככתוב בהפ"נ שלו, ויהי רצון אשר הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות יזכהו ויצליחו לבשר טוב בזה וכן בכל עניניו, והרי זהו ערב חדש בו ראש השנה לאילנות אשר האדם עץ השדה ובפרט לדעת ב"ש הרי זהו ערב ראש השנה זה וכדבריהם במשנה, ונוסף על הנודע אשר אלו ואלו דא"ח ראה לקו"ת במדבר נ"ד ג' אשר לע"ל הלכה דוקא כב"ש.

ובהנוגע לאנ"ש והתמימים ביחוד ה"ז חדש ההילולא של נשיא דורנו הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע העומד ומעורר ר"ר על כל השייכים ומקושרים אליו, וכנודע דבריו אשר רועי ישראל לא יפרדו מאת צאן מרעיתם.
