Greetings and blessings,
After a long interruption, your letter of 12 Kislev* reached me, with the request for blessing it contained, which will be read at a propitious moment at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us.
You share with me your grievances against the yeshivah*. This point has already been discussed with several chassidim*. Now, even if one finds oneself in an indisputable case of force majeure recognized by the Torah*, one cannot for all that be considered as if one had acted concretely. This is self-evident. How would your surroundings, in your city, be saved by reproaches, demands, and lengthy arguments?
Even if a certain person does not fulfill the task entrusted to him, the other Jews are not thereby exempted from acting. Moreover, one can even argue that their duty to do so is increased proportionally, since they must compensate for the inaction of their fellow.
Our Sages say that "one who has the merit receives his portion and that of his friend." Now, if there is a "portion" (see note 1), there must also be an action to accomplish (see note 2).
May Hashem grant that each of you multiply your actions for Yiddishkeit*, in general, and for the dissemination of the wellsprings (see note 3), in particular. As the days of Chanukah* teach (see note 4), you will do so in an ever-increasing manner, from day to day, with pure oil, "at the door of one's house, toward the outside."
May Hashem grant that you accomplish all of this in good health.

לאחר הפסק ארוך הגיע מכתבם מי"ב כסלו עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
ובטענותיו בהנוגע לסניף הישיבה ב..., כבר נדבר בכגון דא לכמה מאנ"ש שאפילו באונס גמור ע"פ תורה הנה כמאן דעביד לא אמרינן, וק"ל, ואיך תוושע הסביבה ב... ע"י טענות ותביעות ושקו"ט?! ואם אפילו פב"פ אינו ממלא המוטל עליו אין זה ממעט כלל חובתו של כאו"א מבנ"י השאר, ויש מקום לומר שאדרבה עוד מרבה בזה, כיון שעליו לעשות גם בחלק חבירו וכמובן ממרז"ל זכה נוטל חלקו וחלק חבירו שאם זה בשכר מוכרח שיהי' זה גם בעבודה וק"ל. ויה"ר שכאו"א מהם יוסיף בפעולות ביהדות בכלל ובהפצת המעינות ביחוד וכהוראת ימי חנוכה שצ"ל מוסיף והולך באור מיום ליום משמן טהור ועל פתח ביתו מבחוץ, ויה"ר שיהי' זה מתוך בריאות הנכונה.
