Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 17 Kislev* and to the one that preceded it.

I am surprised that you ask my opinion on what you should do and what conduct to adopt, when I have already written to you several times on this subject, and what I told you still remains valid at the present time.

You tell me that you must... (see note 1), Heaven forbid. It is clear that this is in no way the case. A Jew must not do that which goes against the Creator, Heaven forbid. I add that this ordeal serves no purpose, for as long as the soul has not fulfilled the mission entrusted to it by the Giver of the Torah*, it must be reincarnated in this world as many times as necessary (see note 2). Moreover, if one has additionally worsened the situation, it is evident that this reincarnation becomes more difficult. There is no need to say more, for all of this is painful.

Furthermore, it is certain that all the justifications and pretexts you write emanate from "the other side" (see note 3) and have absolutely no foundation.

May Hashem grant that you become aware of the truth, which is positive — both materially and spiritually.

With blessing, to give good news,

---

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of the 17th (see note 4) of Kislev* and to the one that preceded it.

You mention the attraction that you experience. You know the advice given in such a case. One must, to every extent possible, put aside the obstacle that prevents you from meeting a certain person. Obviously, any ostentation in this matter is entirely undesirable.

One must have a family life based on standard norms, without adopting stringent positions that have no basis, and while avoiding the withdrawal that can produce the opposite effect (see note 5).

You can deduce from this that leaving the home for some time would not only fail to improve matters but would even have the opposite consequences. This is self-evident.

You will surely let me know how you benefited from the propitious days of Yud-Tes Kislev* (see note 6) and the approaching Chanukah*, in the appropriate manner. This information should be detailed. May Hashem grant that it also be good.

With blessing, to give good news,
