Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter of this Monday, in which you say that although the situation is generally better, from time to time you continue to have troubling thoughts. What is the general explanation for all of this?

Chassidus*, and in particular the Tanya*, explains that the most general and most true answer is as follows: We do not have time for this. A Jew is busy, absorbed in Torah* and mitzvos*, and the consequence of this is to weaken "the other side."

Moreover, one must tell oneself that it is not enough to act on one's own behalf. One must also influence others, as it is said: "You shall love your fellow as yourself." This applies in particular to your friends in the yeshivah*.

May Hashem grant you success, so that you ascend from one level to the next — to have fear of Hashem, to be a chassid* and a Torah* scholar.

With blessing,

On behalf of the Rebbe shlita*,

the secretary,
