To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Chaim (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

After a long interruption, I was pleased to receive your letter of 10 Kislev*, date of the liberation of the Mitteler Rebbe*, in which you describe the state of Chabad affairs, with the participation of the Feiglin family members and other leaders.

May Hashem grant that all of this be strengthened and developed. As I have written many times, if one devoted oneself to these endeavors with more courage, more energy, and of course with benevolence, one would also attract those who for the time being stand aside. How much more would this be the case for those who are already close.

Above all, one must not be frightened if the first time one does not obtain what one desires. One must try once more, then yet again, and in the end, one achieves success.

I hope that particular advantage will be taken of the days of Kislev*, month of miracles and deliverance. In this way, one will strengthen and renew the ruling of the Heavenly Court according to which, thanks to the self-sacrifice the Alter Rebbe* demonstrated for Chassidus* (see note 2), those attached to him and following his way would prevail in all matters concerning Torah*, the fear of Hashem, and good deeds.

I await your detailed good news in all that has been stated, as well as regarding your personal concerns.

בכלל ,ובפרט ביחס לאלו שזכו ליטול חלק במוסדות חסידות חב״ד אשר

רבותינו נשיאנו הק׳ נשיאי חב״ד ,החל מאדמו׳׳ר הזקן בעל התניא,

מעוררים רחמים על כל אלה במה שנחוץ להם בעניניהם הפרטיים ,וגם

בעבודה של הענינים הכלליים ,שכאשר הענינים הפרטיים הם בסדר

ובהצלחה ,מתוסף במרץ ומתחזקת העבודה של הענינים הכלליים,

וכידוע הסיפור של אדמו״ר האמצעי ,שבשל מסירות הנפש של אדמו״ר

הזקן עבור תורת החסידות ,פסקו בבית דין של מעלה ,שבכל עניו של

תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות ,תהי׳ יד המקושרים וההולכים

בעקבותיו על העליונה.
