To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Michael Yehudah Aryeh Leib (see note 1) HaCohen,

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received, in due time, your request for blessing and, now, your letter of 3 Kislev*, giving good news of the chassidim*.

I hope that, despite all the doubts you may have (see note 2), you will take advantage of the propitious days of the month of Kislev* in general, and of the luminous day of Yud-Tes Kislev* (see note 3), the day of our deliverance and the freedom of our souls, in particular — in order to strengthen the dissemination of the wellsprings outward. And I am alluding personally to you, personally to each chassid*, and to all the chassidim* together.

May Hashem grant that the promise of the Creator of the world, Who directs it, soon be fulfilled, and in the words of the Rambam*: "All Jews will be in safety, will be delivered from the nations, will live in tranquility, and will increase their wisdom, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem… I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh," as he explains at length in his Mishneh Torah*.

As you know, every aspect of the Torah* is an integral part of it. In this case, a teaching can also be derived from the fact that the Rambam* explains all of this in the Laws of Teshuvah* and in the Laws of Kings, at the conclusion of his Mishneh Torah*. This is self-evident.

I extend my blessing on the occasion of the festival of liberation and to give detailed good news of what each chassid*, to whom Hashem will grant long life, is accomplishing — in particular the residents of Kfar Chabad*, where "Hashem has commanded the blessing of life for eternity."

With blessing for success in all this,

תקותי חזקה שלמרות כל הספקות שבטח ישנם אצלם בענין, ינצלו ימי הסגולה דחדש כסלו בכלל וביחוד יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו גאולתנו ופשות נפשנו לחזק כל עניני הפצת המעינות חוצה, וכוונתי אליו ביחוד כמו לכל או"א מאנ"ש ביחוד בתוך כללות אנ"ש, בורא עולם ומנהיגו, ויה"ר אשר בקרוב ממש יקוים יעודו של בורא עולם ומנהיגו, וכלשון הרמב"ם שיהיו ישראל יושבין לבטח, ינוחו ממלכיות וימצאו להם מרגוע וירבו בחכמה כו', כי מלאה הארץ דיעה את הוי' וגו', והסירותי את לב האבן מבשרכם וכו', וכמו שהאריך בספרו יד החזקה, וע"פ הידוע אשר כל הפרטים שבתורה תורה הם גם בזה הוראה מה שביאר הרמב"ם דברים אלו בהלכות תשובה ובהלכות מלכים בסיום וחתימת הספר משנה תורה, וק"ל.

בברכת חג הגאולה ולבשו"ט ומפורטות מהנעשה את כאו"א מאנ"ש שליט"א וביחוד תושבי הכפר חב"ד אשר שם צוה ה' את הברכה חיים עד העולם.

בברכה להצלחה בהנ"ל.
