Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of 2 Kislev*, month of miracles and deliverance, in which you ask me which Chassidus* study to add.
In fact, it is precisely regarding this that our Sages said: "A man should always study what his heart desires." It would be good for this study to be connected to the season. I am alluding to the saying of the Alter Rebbe* that "one must live with the times" — that is, with the weekly Sidra*, as explained in a discourse of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us.
You will also seek a connection with the propitious dates and the festival days of this period. In addition, one must add to this the study of the Tanya* and the chassidic* discourses being published at present.
Surely you will take advantage of the favorable days of this month of Kislev* in general, and of the luminous date of Yud-Tes Kislev* in particular.

במענה על מכתבו מב' כסלו, הוא חדש הנסים והגאולה, בו שואל באיזה לימוד דא"ח יוסיף.
והנה בכלל ע"ז קאי מאמר רז"ל לעולם ילמוד אדם במקום שלבו חפץ, ומהנכון שיהי' קשור זה עם הזמן, כוונתי לפתגם רבנו הזקן, מען דארף לעבען מי דער צייט, שפירושו עם הסדרה של השבוע (כמבואר בשיחת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע). ועד"ז קשור בימי הסגולה והימים טובים שבזמן זה, ויש להוסיף על זה ג"כ השיעור תניא הנלמד ומאמרי דא"ח הנדפסים בזמנים אלו.
בודאי ינצלו ימי הסגולה דימי חדש כסלו בכלל ויום הבהיר י"ט כסלו ביחוד.
