To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of this Friday. I have read in it with pleasure that the mikveh* has been constructed in the best manner. As you know, the Tashbetz* states that regarding a mikveh*, one must always opt for the best manner and fulfill each requirement according to all opinions simultaneously.

Fortunate is the lot of all who act for the purity of Yisrael*. Thereby they hasten the redemption, as explained at the end of Tractate Sotah*: "Purity leads to… (see note 2), as it is stated: 'I will sprinkle upon you pure waters.'"

Surely you will take advantage, to the greatest extent possible, of the days of miracles and deliverance of the month of Kislev*, in your city, in order to spread the wellsprings (see note 3) outward. May Hashem grant you success and may you give me good news of all this.

במענה על מכתבו מיום הששי, נעם לי לקרות בו מתיקון המקוה על צד ההידור, וכידוע דברי התשב"ץ אשר בענין המקוה צריכים להדר ולצאת ידי כל הדיעות, ואשרי חלקם של כל אלו המשתדלים בטהרת ישראל ועי"ז מקרבים את הגאולה וכמבואר סוף סוטה, טהרה מביאה כו' וכמ"ש וזרקתי עליכם מים טהורים וכו'...

בודאי ינצלו את ימי הנסים והגאולה דחדש כסלו גם במחנו הט' ככל האפשרי להפצת המעינות חוצה והשי"ת יצליחו ויזכהו לבשר טוב גם בזה.
