To the great Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Avraham Tzvi HaCohen (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter, which followed an interruption, the cause of which I was already anxiously wondering about. You inform me of how the Chassidus* classes (see note 2) are going. I have good hope that you will not be satisfied with what has been achieved until now. You will strive to broaden these classes, in quantity and in quality. Of course, you will do so in a peaceful and pleasant manner, as explained in several teachings and letters of our masters.

The tzaddikim* (see note 3) are in the image of the Creator, and they ask us to adopt such conduct (see note 4). Now, it is stated that "the Holy One, blessed be He, does not act with deceit (see note 5)," and "He demands only in accordance with the strength they possess." It is therefore certain that the same applies in this matter (see note 6).

Consequently, we possess the strength necessary to fully satisfy this demand. The days of Kislev*, the month of the deliverance (see note 7), are approaching, and you should therefore establish a program, sufficiently in advance, enabling you to use them in the most effective manner, in order to spread the wellsprings (see note 8) in the place where you have had the merit of being sent for this purpose.

May Hashem grant you success.

לאחרי ההפסק שדאגתי כבר לסיבתו נתקבל מכתבו, בו כותב אודות אופן הנהגת השיעורים בדא"ח, - ובטחוני חזק שלא יסתפק בההישגים דעד עתה אלא שישתדל להרחיב השיעור בכמות ובאיכות כמובן בדרכי שלום ונועם, אבל באופן המתאים לגודל הענין, וכמבואר בכמה שיחות ומכתבים בדברי רבותינו נשיאנו, וכיון שצדיקים דומים לבוראם ודורשים הם מאתנו לעשות בזה, הרי ע"ד שאין הקב"ה בא בטרוניא ואינו מבקש אלא לפי כחם, בודאי גם בענין זה כן הוא, זאת אומרת שניתנו לנו הכחות למלאות דרישה זו במילואה, וכיון שימי חדש כסלו הוא חדש הגאולה ממשמשים ובאים, בודאי בעוד מועד יטכסו עצה איך לנצלם באופן הכי יעיל בהפצת המעינות במקום בו זכה להיות השליח על זה, והשי"ת יצליחו.
