Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 20 Cheshvan* and the one preceding it (see note 1).

At an auspicious time, I will mention your name and that of your wife, may she be granted long life, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that the wish of your heart be fulfilled and you have a child.

Surely you are strengthening your trust in the Creator of the world, Who directs it. This is the first mitzvah* stated in our holy Torah*, the Torah* of life. It is a mitzvah* of tremendous value, and "the Holy One, blessed be He, does not act deceitfully toward His creatures" (see note 2).

If you are connected, united with the One Who commands the mitzvah* (see note 3), by adopting the corresponding way of life (see note 4), by ascending in this domain (see note 5), in accordance with the teaching of our Sages that "one ascends in matters of holiness," you will be able to fulfill it with joy.

בעת רצון אזכירו ואת זוגתו תחי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע למילוי משאלות לבבם לטובה בזחו"ק, ובדואי מתחזקים בבטחונם בבורא עולם ומנהיגו, אשר כיון שזוהי מצוה הראשונה בתוה"ק תורת חיים ומצוה רבה ואין הקב"ה בא בטרוניא עם בריותיו, הרי אם יעמדו בהתקשרות ודביקות במצוה המצוה ע"י אורח חיים מתאים ולהעלות בזה וכמרז"ל מעלין בקדש, יוכלו לקיים מצוה זו ומתוך שמחה.
