Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter.

I hope that you are guarding your time by filling it with content of Torah* and mitzvos* — the revealed part of the Torah*, Chassidus*, the most perfect observance of the mitzvos* — in general and, in particular, fervent prayer, which is one of its great principles, as explained in several Chassidic texts, especially the Likkutei Torah*, in Parshas* Balak, page 70d, and the Kuntres HaTefillah*, at greater length.

But it seems that you have not even begun to accomplish all of this. Now, the period preceding marriage is particularly precious. The manner in which one prepares then influences one's entire life. This is self-evident.

It is certain that from on high, you are given the necessary strength for this. With the appropriate will, effort, and determination, you will achieve success in this matter.

תקותי שישמור על הזמן למלאותו בתוכן של תורה ומצות, תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות והידור בקיום המצות בכללם ובעבודת התפלה שהוא מהיסודות והעיקרים בזה (כמבואר בכ"מ בדא"ח ומהם בלקו"ת פ' בלק ע, ד. ובקונטרס התפלה בארוכה), אשר כנראה גם לא התחיל בזה, והרי הזמן שלפני החתונה הוא יקר מכל יקר, כיון שההכנה אז משפיעה על כל משך ימי החיים, וק"ל.

ובודאי אשר נותנים הכחות מלמעלה שברצון ויגיעה והשתדלות המתאימה יצליח בכל האמור, ואקוה לקבל ממנו בשו"ט בכל הנ"ל.
